Instead of searching for the exact file name, you can describe your memory of a file in natural language, such as "a PDF file discussing employee onboarding," just like you would with a colleague. It can also quickly find the document'sup to dateversion, making it easier for you to get the information you need.

The feature captures your actions on the computer, but Microsoft guarantees that the data will be kept locally on the device and you don't have to worry about your information being transmitted to the cloud server. The company also said that it will not use any captured information to train AI models. Users can also view, edit, and delete all captured content and browse through the timeline to find the information they need.

Currently, Recall AI is only available on the Cube+ PC series, as it needs to run on the device. It only works on PCs with ARM64 processors, Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus, 225GB or more storage, and 16GB or more RAM.

Microsoft is all in on the AI PC race.
