Using AI to compose a song, write an article or generate beautiful art is now easy, although the quality standards may be questionable.

Elon Musk recently shared his predictions for the future, where AI will take over all jobs and make work a hobby. Similarly, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said we are on the verge of the next wave of AI, with self-driving cars and humanoid robots at the forefront.

Microsoft’s latest Job Trends Index report shows that most recruiters will not hire anyone without AI skills. This has prompted people to upskill in AI to keep their jobs, resulting in a “142x increase in LinkedIn members adding AI skills such as Copilot and ChatGPT to their profiles.” But surprisingly, some executives have publicly expressed concerns that their company’s job openings will not be filled with the right people, contrary to the popular belief that AI will take people’s jobs.

Another report said that the banking industry could be the next target of artificial intelligence, with about 54% jobs at risk of being automated. Huang also claimed that coding as a career choice is in jeopardy and suggested that people look for other options, such as turning to biology, education, manufacturing or agriculture.

Artificial intelligence, like a sword of Damocles, is threatening more and more creative jobs.
