The survey results showed that 83% of Chinese respondents said they used generative artificial intelligence, which was higher than the 65% in the United States and 54% in all countries and regions participating in the survey.<\/p>\n<p>The survey, which covers industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and energy, highlights China\u2019s rapid progress in generative AI, a field that gained momentum after Microsoft-backed OpenAI released ChatGPT in November 2022, followed by dozens of companies in China launching their own generative AI products.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, a report from the United Nations&#039; World Intellectual Property Organization showed that China also leads in generative AI patents, filing more than 38,000 patent applications between 2014 and 2023, while the United States filed only 6,276 during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>It is expected that as the price war further escalates, the application of generative AI in large enterprises will accelerate in China.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China is leading the world in terms of the popularity of generative artificial intelligence, a new survey shows, indicating that the country has made great strides in this technology.
