And at that point in time, multiple directors were already concerned about Altman's honesty. Bit by bit, his series of actions eroded those members' trust in Altman and ultimately led to his firing.<\/p>\n<p>Toner also said that the conflict between her and Altman was resolved before Altman returned to OpenAI. Altman had already apologized to her for his behavior in the \"paper incident\".<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Toner has tried to distance herself from the effective altruism movement.
