That estimate doesn't yet include stock-based compensation -- one of OpenAI's biggest expenses, but it's not paid in cash.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Fortune magazine published an article stating that OpenAI CEO Altman announced at a weekly meeting that month that the<strong>will restructure the rather complex nonprofit corporate structure next year.<\/strong>OpenAI, according to the report\u00a0<strong>Restructuring into a more traditional for-profit company, in addition to retaining a not-for-profit division<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI was founded in 2015 as a non-profit organization that relies heavily on donor funding.
