Through our longstanding partnership with NVIDIA, SoftBank is leading this transformation. With our extremely robust AI infrastructure and 'AITRAS', a new distributed AI-RAN solution that is reshaping 5G networks for AI, we will accelerate innovation across the country and around the world.\"<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, SoftBank worked closely with NVIDIA to achieve a technological milestone -- the development of a new telecom network that can run both AI and 5G workloads.<strong>Known in the industry as Artificially Intelligent Radio Access Networks (AI-RAN)<\/strong>. This new infrastructure is supported by the telecom industry's ecosystem as it enables operators to transform base stations from cost centers to AI revenue-generating assets.<\/p>\n<p>SoftBank demonstrated that its AI-RAN solution has achieved carrier-grade 5G performance through an outdoor trial in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.<strong>And the ability to utilize excess capacity in the network to run AI inference workloads simultaneously<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>NVIDIA and Softbank estimate that<strong>For every $1 invested in AI-RAN infrastructure, telecom carriers receive approximately $5<\/strong>(IT Home Note: Currently about Rs 36.2) in AI inference revenue.
