As Business Insider reported today.Salesforce<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Marc Benioff, the CEO of the company, recently said on the Future of Everything podcast that he believes the future of AI lies in autonomous agents (commonly known as \"AI<\/a> Agent<\/a>\"), rather than the Large Language Models (LLMs) currently used to train chatbots such as ChatGPT. \"In fact, we may be close to the LLM'sTechnical ceiling<\/strong>up.\"<\/p>\n

Benioff mentioned that the social craze for ChatGPT in recent years has led many people to\"Wrongly overestimating\" AI's capabilities<\/strong>They will thus think thatLarge Language Model<\/a>is the core driver of AI development. But he believes that the real direction with potential is theself-agent<\/strong>. These agents canIndependent completion of tasks<\/strong>For example, they are responsible for sales communications or marketing campaigns. This technology is even more important than LLM for organizations that want to improve efficiency and reinvent their work patterns.<\/p>\n

At the same time, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang also said he believes that in the future we will work side by side with \"AI intelligences\" and \"AI employees\".<\/p>\n

\"We now have a powerful set of tools that canIncrease productivity, help employees fulfill their tasks, and boost profitability and revenue<\/strong>that make businesses stronger and build stronger connections with their customers.\" Benioff said. \"But for now, we're not in those future scenarios depicted in sci-fi movies -- maybe someday, but at least not today.\"<\/p>\n

Benioff mentioned that much of the public's awareness of AI intelligences comes from movies and television, such as The Terminator, released in 1984, and Minority Report in 2002. The former featured Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Cyborg assassin \"The Terminator,\" while the latter envisioned a future where police would anticipate crimes through AI technology.<\/p>\n

However, Benioff warned that some industry players and AI pushersOverstated descriptions of AI capabilities<\/strong>I even fictionalized it.Curing cancer or solving the climate crisis<\/strong>This is a \"feat\" that misleads users who could actually benefit from AI technology.<\/p>\n

\"These so-called 'AI evangelists' are spreading untruths that not only don't help organizations leverage AI to be more effective, but hurt them.\" Benioff said.<\/p>\n

He further explains, \"Yes, AI can improve efficiency, increase revenue, improve customer relations, theBut to say we've entered a world like 'Minority Report'? Not really. Terminator? Not even close.<\/strong>. As for 'war games,' I hope that kind of future never happens.\"<\/p>\n
