The city will also replace outdated security cameras, with the first batch of replacements being old surveillance cameras with less than 1.3 million pixels. Currently, Seoul operates more than 160,000 security cameras, of which 15,000 will be replaced next year. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced that it will replace 85,000 cameras that are not equipped with AI technology over the next three years, with a total budget of 126.5 billion won ($98.1 million).<\/p>\n<p>Director of the Digital Policy Bureau Kim Jin Wan said, \"Cameras help protect the lives and safety of citizens.
