Masayoshi Son also decided to join the meeting after learning that Lee Jae-yong would be meeting directly with Altman.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the meeting, Masayoshi Son told the Korean media that they plan to discuss cooperation with Samsung on the Stargate project. The project is organized by Open<a href=\"https:\/\/www.1ai.net\/en\/tag\/ai\" title=\"[View articles tagged with [AI]]\" target=\"_blank\" >AI<\/a> and SoftBank are leading a $500 billion (note: currently around Rs 3.64 trillion) AI infrastructure project in the U.S., which was announced by President Donald Trump last month. SoftBank is one of the main backers of the project and has discussed investing $15 billion to $20 billion directly into OpenAI.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Masayoshi Son met with Lee Jae-yong in Seoul to discuss SoftBank's sale of British chip company Arm. In addition, on Monday, OpenAI announced a joint venture with SoftBank in Japan called Crystal Intelligence, which will provide enterprise-level artificial intelligence services.
