Last September, SSI raised $1 billion from five investors including Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz and DST Global. Now, the company's fundraising is at the center of the market's attention, testing whether the artificial intelligence industry can continue to maintain high valuations after the overall valuation adjustment.<\/p>\n

SSI currently has no revenues, and the company's goal is to develop \"secure superintelligence,\" which isAI with a level of intelligence beyond that of humans, but still in the interest of humans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Respected for driving industry breakthroughs in the field of AI, Sutcliffe is a member of the AI\u00a0<\/strong>Scale training<\/strong>an early advocate for OpenAI -- an idea that spawned OpenAI's ChatGPT and has driven tens of billions of dollars in global flows to chips, data centers, and energy.<\/p>\n

However, Sutzkiewicz also realized earlier that the approach could be limited by the reduction in available data. He believes that AI'sreasoning ability<\/strong>(i.e., the ability of a model to analyze and make decisions after training is complete) is critical, so forming a team to push OpenAI to develop a new generation of inference models has led to a new direction in industry research.<\/p>\n
