On the topic of \"why do you want to do hardware yourself,\" Lightcap said:<\/p>\n<p>While ChatGPT is currently very capable, it still requires opening the app, typing text and hitting enter, which is not a true AI experience.<\/p>\n<p>Lightcap says the team is now thinking about how to get people to engage with AI without existing interaction methods, and it's revealing part of the direction: instead of asking questions and taking action, AI will be able to anticipate what the user needs and what the user is ready to do, and it will be integrated into every part of daily life.<\/p>\n<p>According to several reports, Altman and Ive are targeting a product that will be \"the third core device that users use, after the MacBook and iPhone\".
