Google<\/a>Recently, it has made a major update to its artificial intelligence project, renaming Bard as Gemini<\/a> Many new features were released, such as support for mobile use. However, Gemini was not perfect in the early days of its release. The slow rollout meant that not all users were able to experience the new features, and some users encountered problems during use.<\/p>\n

However, Google responded quickly, with Gemini product lead Jack Krawczyk assuring users that the issue was being actively fixed.<\/p>\n

Krawczyk noted that Google is working quickly to fix some of Gemini's most critical vulnerabilities, with denial of response at the top of the list. Krawczyk said that in the week or so since Gemini was released,Google has cut its rate of rejections by about half.<\/span><\/p>\n

Google has also updated the Gemini app to automatically type voice requests after users finish speaking. The move is intended to make using Gemini feel closer to using the classic Google Assistant. Previously, users needed to manually type requests after speaking, which limited Gemini's usefulness as an assistant.<\/p>\n

Gemini's mobile app was initially available only in the United States, but has now expanded to more countries. However, there are limitations in language support. Some users eager to use the product have had to change the language settings of their Android devices to English in order to log in. Krawczyk said some login bugs related to this activation method have been fixed.<\/p>\n

Looking back at Krawczyk's original list of "things that need to be fixed ASAP", there are still some issues that are pending. These include more extensive support for assistant tasks, providing programming help, and removing some "didactic" restrictions.
