Most users will likely choose \"Auto\" mode, but \"Think\" mode will be useful for those who need extra control.<\/p>\n<p>GPT-5 Thinking is currently limited to 3,000 messages per week, beyond which additional capacity will be provided by GPT-5 Thinking mini. the context limit for GPT-5 Thinking is 196,000 tokens. openAI may update the limit from time to time based on usage.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the 4o model has now been reintroduced into the model selector by default for all paid users. OpenAI will notify users in advance if they decide to discard the model. Paid users can now also add models such as o3, 4.1 and GPT-5 Thinking mini by toggling \"Show other models\" in the ChatGPT web settings. Note that version 4.5 is only available to Pro users, as it consumes a lot of GPU resources.<\/p>\n<p>Altman also said that OpenAI is working on an update to GPT-5's personality to make it warmer than the current personality, but not as annoying as GPT-4o.
