As CEO of OpenAI's consumer business, Simo's arrival marks a significant realignment of power structures within OpenAI.<\/strong>With her extensive experience at Facebook and Instacart, as well as her in-depth knowledge of the advertising industry, she was considered the right person to drive the commercialization of ChatGPT.<\/p>\n

The change also reveals OpenAI's transition from an early non-profit research organization to a more Silicon Valley-typical tech company.<\/strong>Altman will reportedly focus more on raising trillions of dollars for large-scale computing projects and incubating a brain-computer interface startup than managing day-to-day operations.<\/p>\n

While Altman remains directly involved in OpenAI's research, computing and hardware programs, he has made it clear that he cannot manage multiple business segments at once.<\/p>\n
