In a recent interview with Wired,Nvidia<\/a> CEO Jen-Hsun Huang<\/a>Revealed that he often usesChatbots<\/a> \u2014\u2014Perplexity<\/a> AI. When asked about his opinion on tools like ChatGPT or Bard, Huang said he prefers this relatively unknown chatbot. According to the interview, he uses Perplexity AI and ChatGPT almost every day.<\/p>\n

So what does Huang use these chatbots for? He explains that he uses them primarily for research, and that he is currently particularly interested in the field of computer-assisted drug discovery.<\/p>\n

Perplexity calls itself the "world's first conversational answer engine," which is probably what attracted Huang Renxun. Its query is quick and easy, and it allows you to naturally dig deeper into topics. Perplexity also provides a useful library of historical query threads, as well as a "discover" function for browsing news and current events.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that despite Nvidia\u2019s extensive involvement in the field of artificial intelligence, they participated in a $73.6 million Series B round led by IVP in January 2024 to provide financial support for Perplexity. Therefore, it is not surprising that Huang Renxun is interested in Perplexity AI and that executives within the company are also \u201cdogfooding\u201d the product.<\/p>\n

In addition to personal chatbot preferences, the interview also touched on a number of other AI topics. One interesting point was Huang's description of a new type of data center, an "AI factory" that he said has been in development for many years, similar to a generator, and is about to be commercialized by Nvidia.<\/p>\n

Another topic was about Moore's Law. Huang Renxun explained that Nvidia acquired Mellanox to avoid the limitations of Moore's Law at the data center level.<\/p>\n
