So far, Apple and Google have not responded to X ' s compliance or plans to lower it\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In addition, parliamentarians accused the two companies of \"double standards\" in auditing standards\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Previously, under pressure from the Government, Apple and Google had set up applications such as ICEBlock and Red Dot, which were mainly used to anonymously report the whereabouts of ICE agents\u3002<\/p>\n<p>The letter argues that, unlike the \" nauseous\" content generated by Grok, the above-mentioned application does not in itself create or host harmful illegal content, but is removed because of the risk it poses to law enforcement officials\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the letter warned that the failure of Apple and Google to act on X would weaken its core argument in the antimonopoly defence that \"app store can provide a safer user experience than a direct downloading application\"\u3002<\/p>\n<p>This argument has been a key reason for both companies to oppose legislative reform and to defend the market power of their payment systems\u3002<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 10 January, according to The Verge, US Democratic Senator Ron Wyden, Ben Ray Lujan and Ed Markey recently sent letters to Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Sundar Pichai requesting social media applications X to be removed from their respective application stores.
