It remains rooted in tremors and has about 7.7 billion active users. But the clearest signal of the future direction of a byte jump is its AI assistant, Bean Pack, a product that has already surpassed 155 million active users in the week and has made a record of living on a daily basis in February’s New Year of the Year, making China the first country to achieve the popularization of AI assistants。

Amazon

Amazon had built its empire on e-commerce and cloud computing and was now emerging as a core infrastructure participant in the AI field. At the end of 2025, the company launched Project Rainier, one of the largest AI computing clusters ever built. This huge, 1,200-acre complex is named after the peak of the Amazonian Seattle headquarters. The data centre runs nearly half a million Trainium2 chips custom-made in Amazonia, providing power for the Anthropic AI model。

Zhipu

If DeepSeek proves that Chinese companies do not need billions of foreign investments to build the front line of AI, then think tank AI proves that they don’t need Western chips. Founded in 2019 by Qinghua University researchers and listed in January of this year, the IPO is the first China Large Language Model Company to be listed, with $558 million in financing. By February, it had released GLM-5, a model with 74.4 billion parameters. GLM-5 is published with open-source permission and in some benchmark tests it has surpassed the Google Gemini 3 Pro and approaches Claude Opus 4.5 and OpenAI GPS-5.2 on programming and intelligent missions。

OpenAI

Even by Silicon Valley standards, the size of OpenAI is alarming. In March this year, the company completed a round of $12.2 billion in financing with a valuation of $85.2 billion. ChatGPT now has more than 900 million active users, and the company's monthly income has climbed to $2 billion. Although rivals, including Anthropic and Google, are following closely, OpenAI is still the company that develops the AI deployment tempo, whose influence cuts across consumers, developers and businesses。

At the same time, the company was involved in a dispute: on the same day that competitor Anthropic was banned from government work, Openai signed a Pentagon contract; moreover, it was responding to allegations that ChatGPT might have played a role in suicide and mass shootings。

Google

Although Sundar Pichai is not as well known as any other technology CEO, he played a central role in Google's AI counterattack. Ten years ago, he announced that the Google parent company Alphabet would become an "AI first" company and began to build the cornerstone of that goal. Subsequently, after the rise of his competitor OpenAI in 2022, he led an internal technological sprint driven by the corporate AI department Google DeepMind, pushing Google Gemini to the top of the competency list. This bet paid off: Google earned the first $40 billion in annual revenue and became the second highest global market value company。

Meta

For companies that host user data, AI prosperity is a profitable time. In 2025, Meta gained an all-time high in advertising, in part because of the increased calculus of big data collected through its social networks. Mark Zuckerberg hopes to translate billions of dollars invested in researchers and new data centres into more advanced AI models, thus “understanding people's unique personal goals”. In January, he stated: “We believe that the current system is still very primitive compared to the possibility of being realized.”

Anthropic

The U.S. government classified Anthropic as a supply chain risk -- an unprecedented move against American companies -- and ordered all federal agencies to stop using Claude. Anthropic challenged this finding in court, and a federal judge granted a preliminary injunction to prevent it. When the dust came to an end, Anthropic seemed to have become stronger, and its steadfastness attracted a large number of new clients. As for Anthropic's initial offer to bring Claude into the Pentagon, it seems no longer important。

Alibaba Group

In less than three years, China’s technology giant, Ali Baba, has become the leading force of AI. The cumulative number of downloads from its Qwen series has exceeded 1 billion, and more than 200,000 models have emerged as the most popular open-source model family in the world. It's far more attractive than China. Airbnb indicates that, due to their high quality and low cost, they rely heavily on Qwen to support their AI guest service; Pinterest uses Qwen to analyse visual content and generate context text for posting. The company is expanding its already large cloud computing infrastructure, making its own AI chips and consumer applications, and selling intelligent hosting models to business clients。

Mistral

As many leading AI companies withdrew from open source AI, Mistral used openness as a business strategy. This Paris-based AI company was established three years ago and is currently valued at nearly $14 billion. It builds models for programming, transliteration, document identification and multi-modular missions and helps clients to operate them on their own infrastructure, which is extremely attractive to large companies and governments that do not want sensitive data to flow out. At the beginning of 2026, Mistral ' s annualized income reached $400 million, an increase of about 20 times over the previous year, driven by more than 100 large business clients (including ASML, the Dudar Energy and HSBC Bank) and several European governments seeking home-grown alternatives for US AI suppliers。

Hugging Face

This company, based in New York, operates the largest public repository of AI models, data sets and applications -- with more than 2 million models and 500,000 data sets, according to the latest statistics -- making it the "GitHub of the AI Community." The wealth 500 companies over 30% have accounts on the platform。

On April 28th, local time 27th, Time published 2026, the top 10 influential AI companies in the world: byte beats, Amazons, Think Spectra, OpenAI, Google Alphabet, Meta, Anthropic, Aliba, Mistral, Hugging Face.
