In March 2023, Ljubisa Bajic left Tenstorrent and founded a new company, Taalas, in September.<\/p>\n<p>Taalas aims to build highly specialized chips that provide customized computing power for AI models. The company believes that the basic commercialization of AI requires a 1,000-fold increase in computing power and efficiency, which cannot be achieved with general-purpose computers. Only by closely integrating chips and models can sustainable development be achieved.<\/p>\n<p>Taalas&#039; chips will be built for the requirements of specific neural networks, without the need for external memory, and can accommodate the entire model on-chip.
