OpenAI released a new generation of artificial intelligence models GPT-6 Astra on September 3 at local time, officially known as the company's most capable model to date\u3002<\/p>\n

The model is at its most advanced level in areas such as computer operations, web browsing, software engineering, network security, scientific research and professional work. \u201cWelcome to the AGI age.\u201d\u3002<\/p>\n

GPT-6 Astra 's context window reaches 1.05 million token (note: text content of about 1,500 pages A4-size) with a maximum output length of 128,000 token and a knowledge deadline of 30 April 2026. The model supports text and image input, as well as text output, and brings together a web search, file search, code writing and implementation tool chain\u3002<\/p>\n

GPT-6 Astra shows a significant increase in several key assessments. The FrontierMath Tier 4 test, which represents high-level mathematical ability, scored 97.6%, close to full; the ARC-AGI-3 test, which measured learning and abstract reasoning in a strange environment, jumped from 7.8% to 99.9% in the previous GPT-5.6 Sol; and 100%, which used the capability test ExploitBench. In the OSWorld 2.0 test, Astra scored 72.6%, which took an average of about 40 minutes to complete the mission, while GPT-5.6 Sol was 65.7%, which took approximately 75 minutes, reducing the mission time by approximately 47%\u3002<\/p>\n

One of the key breakthroughs of GPT-6 Astra is computer-operated. The model allows for the autonomous manipulation of browsers, office software and development tools, and independently completes the full workflow of information retrieval, table processing, presentation production, code development, etc. Users can give direct target instructions, such as \u201chelp me organize a financial analysis and make a presentation\u201d, and the model is self-dismantling, calling different tools and implementing them on an ongoing basis. OpenAI indicates that Astra is the best model for following existing templates and can generate well-structured presentation slides\u3002<\/p>\n

In the area of cybersecurity, GPT-6 Astra is the first OpenAI model to reach the threshold of internal \u201ccritical\u201d network security. The grade model, with the appropriate tools and privileges, is able to detect previously unknown security gaps in a well-protected system and to develop appropriate utilization methods without manual step-by-step guidance.
