THE STATEMENT DOES NOT NEGATE THE SUPPORTING VALUE OF AI, BUT EXPRESSLY OPPOSES THE COMPETITION FOR THE SIMPLIFICATION OF MAJOR MATHEMATICAL GUESSES TO MODEL RANKINGS\u3002<\/p>\n

The background to the joint statement is closely linked to recent technological developments. On 8 September, OpenAI announced that its ability to calculate an undisclosed internal model had answered one of the Millennium Award challenges, the existential and smoothness of the Navistox equation and published a 166-page paper, which was currently awaiting rigorous validation by the global mathematical community\u3002<\/p>\n
