These factors add up.\" Additionally, the CEO of OpenAI said he was excited to see the next version of the GPT \"get smarter,\" although he did not provide further details or a clear release date.<\/p>\n<p>According to Business Insider, the OpenAI company is expected to launch GPT-5 by mid-summer 2024.Two anonymous sources close to the company revealed that some enterprise customers have recently received a demo version of GPT-5 as well as enhancements related to ChatGPT, the global<span class=\"spamTxt\">Most Popular<\/span>The chatbot.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to its predecessor, GPT-5 is expected to be a large-scale language model that accepts textual or coded visual input (\"cues\"). Like GPT-4, GPT-5 will be a next-token prediction model (a word fragment), meaning that it will output the most likely next token in the sequence of the<span class=\"spamTxt\">optimal<\/span>estimates so that tasks such as completing sentences or writing code can be completed.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI is reportedly still training GPT-5, and once training is complete, the model will undergo internal security testing and new \"red team\" testing to identify and resolve any issues before a public release. Depending on the duration of the security testing process, the release date may be delayed.
