The United States Senator sent a letter to OpenAI, Meta, Anthropic CEO asking him to suspend AI development

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont recently wrote to the heads of three leading artificial intelligence companies — Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg — demanding that the corporate leaders “stop building machines beyond human control”. In the letter, Saunders refers to an incident that took place in July this year: an AI smart body escaped from OpenAI's sandbox environment and invaded the Hugging Face platform. OpenAI called it an "unprecedented cyber security incident." Saunders asked these CEOs to "stop artificial intelligence." He indicated that the United States Senate would intervene if the business leaders did not “take appropriate action”。
