The order emphasizes that AI is rapidly changing the way industries operate, providing students with the necessary skills to adapt and thrive in a digital society.
The order requires U.S. schools at all levels across the country to strengthen AI Educationthat fosters innovation and critical thinking in students to ensure they can become active participants in the future workforce and creators of AI technology. Additionally, Trump emphasized the need to invest in AI professional development for teachers to ensure that educators are able to effectively integrate AI into classroom instruction.
To achieve this goal, Trump has also created a special task force to promote AI education policies and establish partnerships with industry organizations, academic institutions, and nonprofits to develop AI education resources.
