This update fills a GPT Image 2 capability gap that previously did not support a transparent background in API. The official model page shows that GPT Image 2 can be used through image generation and image editing endpoints, and supports flexible image sizes and high-level preservation image input。
On the same day, an anonymous image model named luna-lisa-alpha appeared on LMArena, and some testers speculated that it might be related to the next generation image model of OpenAI; OpenAI has not yet identified the model and therefore cannot be considered a GPT Image 2.5 official preview at this stage。
