ON 30 APRIL, THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCED THAT THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HAD OFFICIALLY APPROVED THE ADDITION OF AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN "COMMERCIAL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE" AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND THE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT. AS A RESULT, CHINA'S SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT BECAME THE FIRST UNIVERSITY IN THE COUNTRY TO OPEN SUCH A SPECIALTY.
