June 5 (Bloomberg) -- E-commerce giant Amazon is embarking on a test of using humanoid robots for its package delivery service, with the company planning to have humanoid robots step out of its Rivian electric delivery vans and deliver packages directly to consumers' doorsteps. Currently, Amazon has put more than 20,000 Rivian electric delivery vans into service for package deliveries, and that number is expected to grow to 100,000 by the end of this decade.
