June 17 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Department of Defense announced on Monday that it has awarded OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, a $200 million (note: the current exchange rate is about Rs. 1,437 million) contract aimed at providing it with artificial intelligence tools. The Pentagon said, "Under the contract, the implementer will develop cutting-edge AI prototype capabilities to address key national security challenges in the operational and enterprise domains."
