After announcing a partnership with OpenAI's ChatGPT Upon reaching cooperation.appleCraig Fedrighi, SVP of Software Engineering, confirmed plans to work with other third-party models at the WWDC24 developer conference.
In an interview following the keynote, Fedrighi revealed, "We look forward to integrating with other AI models in the future, such as Google's Gemini." OpenAI's ChatGPT will be the first AI model to be integrated into an Apple system later this year.
Fedrighi specifically mentioned that Apple wants to eventually let users choose between different big AI models to use with Apple Intelligence. And Apple decided to focus on ChatGPT in the first place because it wanted to "start with the best".
Previously multiple sources revealed that Apple and Google negotiations for iPhone built-in Gemini AI, now look at the cooperation is not far away, IT home partners can look forward to Apple in the AI aspects of the follow-up action.
