Microsoft: Announcing "Zero Day Discovery," a major offline hackathon

Microsoft has announced a major offline hacking conference called "Zero Day Discovery," offering an additional $4 million in prizes to encourage researchers to discover high-risk security vulnerabilities in cloud computing and artificial intelligence software. The event is now open for research submissions, and those who qualify will be able to attend the conference in 2025 at Microsoft's Redmond headquarters. Microsoft will double the AI vulnerability bounty and also provide security researchers with access to relevant engineers and AI red teams. Meanwhile, Microsoft's corporate vice president said it will share details of fixing vulnerabilities, and critical vulnerabilities will be shared through the CVE program. In addition, Microsoft has made security a top priority earlier this year and today launched Microsoft Security Exposure Management, which provides defenders with the ability to view relevant security elements to identify potential attack vectors.
