The friendzone is blowing up today! In the two major Cursor and WindsurfAI ProgrammingTools in the crevices.
ByteDance has actually launched a free homegrown AI programming software - theTrae, sparking a buzz across the internet!

Official atmosphere: provide and cursor similar functions, free white whoring claude3.5 and GPT4.0, surprisingly, even their own family of beanbags are not put in.
Guidelines for use
Step 1: Go to the official website address to download it:https://www.1ai.net/27429.html , click Install and Register.
Step 2: Initialize the configuration, when you open the interface, you can select the configuration file, surprisingly, you can support importing configuration files from vscode or curosr.

Step 3: Open the interface and import the file.
When I first opened it, I almost thought the interface was cursor. But upon closer inspection, I realized that the Trae interface is much more streamlined, moving the smaller functions to the left side where the icons are displayed. This leaves more time for the user to spend in the editing and execution areas of the interface.

The right area is divided into two parts: CHAT and BUILDER.
chat section, which talks directly to the big model and does not automatically generate code.
The builder part, similar to composer, generates the code directly as well as commands to run the code.
How effective is it?
In a word: what cursor can realize, it can realize; what cursor can't realize, it can't realize.
We asked Trae to generate a game of Snake for us, and within 10s of a clock, it was generated quickly.

If you think that this is a small point, let's continue to increase the difficulty of the test.
Previously I've used cursor to generate browser screenshots with a tool that basically has all sorts of problems 8 times out of 10.

Today we sent the requirements to Trae to try it out, and unsurprisingly, Trae rolled over as well, still needing to do some debugging manually.

However, to be able to do this has given Trae a thumbs up. After all, it's still in beta, and when the official version comes out, it'll definitely be a ride.
Some of you will ask: how about cline, is it as good as Trae? Five word answer: there is no comparison at all!
Words to follow
Lately, Cursor has been pumping a lot and the free credits are always stretched. That's where Trae comes in to fill the gap.
The trial was smooth overall, although occasionally there was some lag when generating code, but perhaps that was due to too many user visits today.
As I write this, I am really excited: domestic AI programming software finally has the ability to compete with Cursor! Next year may be the first year that AI programming comes into thousands of households!
