Feb. 11 - Engadget reported today that Roblox, Discord, OpenAI and Google have jointly launched a program called ROOST（A non-profit organization that aims to build a scalable and interconnected security infrastructure for the AI era (Powerful Open Online Security Tools).
The organization plans to provide public and privateFree open source security toolsthat help them to enhance security on their own platforms, initially by bringing theFocus onchild safetyIn its announcement, ROOST specifically noted that it plans to provide tools for "detecting, auditing and reporting child sexual abuse material (CSAM)". The partner companies will not only provide financial support for these tools, but also the technical skills needed to build them.
ROOST's philosophy is that the rapid development of generative AI is profoundly changing the network environment, and the need for a "reliable and accessible security infrastructure" is becoming ever more urgent. instead of asking small companies or organizations to develop security tools from scratch, ROOST wants toOff-the-shelf solutions at no cost to them.
