February 21st.OpenAI Announced today, its name is "Operator"of AI Agent ToolsIt is being rolled out to ChatGPT Pro subscribers in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom and most countries where ChatGPT is available. This feature was previously rolled out in the U.S. in January of this year and is designed to make tasking easier for users.

According to OpenAI, Operator will cover most of the territories where ChatGPT is live, with the exception of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. The tool is primarily aimed at ChatGPT Pro subscribers who pay $200 per month (note: currently around Rs. 1,450), and is currently only available through a dedicated webpage. However, the company plans to integrate Operator into all ChatGPT clients in the future to make it easier for users.
Operator as an "AI agent" tool.Ability to follow user instructions for tasks as diverse as booking a flight, making a restaurant reservation, submitting an expense report, or shopping on an e-commerce site.. It runs through a separate browser window and the user can take over control at any time to ensure that tasks are performed as expected.
While there are already a number of similar tools on the market - companies such as Google, Anthropic and Rabbit are also developing AI agents capable of performing similar tasks - each of these product competitors has limitations. Google's project is currently on a waiting list; Anthropic's agent interface provides access only through an API; and Rabbit's model is limited to its device users.
