Ballie is a deep integration with the SmartThings platform. AI Companion Robot, equipped with a camera and a mini projector that can follow the user around the home, it not only provides weather forecasts, plays movies, and displays Samsung health data, but also assists in managing shopping lists, controlling smart home devices, and more.
While its pricing and exact release date have yet to be announced, Samsung has confirmed that the Ballie will be available in the US market in the first half of 2025. Whether or not the launch will be synchronized in other markets is unclear.
1AI had reported in January this year that Samsung had publicly demonstrated Ballie to the media during the CES 2025 show, the robot glided smoothly on a pre-set wooden plane, fully demonstrating its flexible mobility, and its front projector was upgraded to a full HD triple laser projector, with a quality of projection that was claimed to be close to that of Samsung's The Premiere 5 laser projector.
It's worth noting that Ballie is equipped with the world's first switchable-lens projector, capable of both near and far projection. This means it can display operating options on the floor or project navigation information or movies onto the wall as needed.
