1AI has learned from an official press release that the company, along with its manufacturing partners, has commissioned more than one million square feet of production space for the manufacture and testing of NVIDIA's Blackwell chips in Arizona.and produce artificial intelligence supercomputers in Texas.
NVIDIA's Blackwell chips have begun production at TSMC's chip plant in Phoenix, Arizona. NVIDIA is building supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas, working with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Large-scale production at both plants is expected to expand gradually over the next 12 to 15 months.
The supply chain for artificial intelligence chips and supercomputers is complex and requires state-of-the-art manufacturing, packaging, assembly and testing technologies, the announcement said. NVIDIA is working with Amkor and SPIL to develop packaging and testing operations in Arizona.
