May 14 - Tuesday, local time.TikTok Announcing the launchFigure video AI feature called "TikTok". AI Alive". This new feature allows users to turn still photos into videos and share them in TikTok stories.
Available only through TikTok's story camera, the feature leverages AI technology to transform still photos into"Sporty, atmospheric and creative effects."The short video.
For example, if you have a photo of the sky, clouds, and ocean, TikTok can transform it into a video in which the sky gradually changes hue and the clouds begin to float, accompanied by the sound of lapping waves. Or, you can move your selfie around, highlighting the gestures and expressions of the people in it.
The launch of the graph-generated video feature comes on the heels of TikTok's text-to-image AI generator, which was introduced a few years ago. According to TikTok, content generated by "AI Alive" will come with an AI-generated tag to remind users that the content was created by AI.
Additionally, all content will be embedded with C2PA metadata that can help others recognize whether a video was generated by AI, a technology that remains in effect after the video is distributed to platforms other than TikTok.
In a blog post, TikTok said, "We've always made security a priority, and AI technology is no exception. As this technology drives new forms of creative expression, it goes through multiple trust and security audits to protect our community. To prevent users from creating content that violates regulations, our vetting technology checks uploaded photos, AI-generated text prompts, and AI Alive videos to make sure they are compliant."
TikTok also notes that users can report videos they believe violate the rules, and that after creators share AI Alive storiesThe platform will conduct a final security audit.
Creators can create an AI Alive video by simply opening the Story Camera and clicking the blue plus button at the top of their inbox or profile. Next, select a photo and go to the edit page to see the AI Alive icon on the right toolbar.
