A few days ago, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Attending the "2025 AI Ascent" conference of the investment institution Sequoia Capital, the former was interviewed at the conference and shared some of OpenAI's startup experience, product planning, and industry predictions.
Regarding OpenAI's entrepreneurial journey, Altman mentioned that the company's GPT-3 API, which was launched in June 2020, didn't make too many waves, but the GPT-3 API provided a nice economical service for some companies in copywriting services.
Altman also rehashes the old story: while people can't build great businesses with the GPT-3 API, they love communicating with it, and Altman points out that, in a sense, that's the only killer use for the API product.
For the current hot AI Agent(INTELLIGENCE) Altman prophesied.The year 2025 will be the year of mass adoption of AI Agents, especially in programming, where AI Agents will become a dominant force.He claimed that Agent as a 'digital workforce' will help industries to significantly save time, improve efficiency and deliver substantial business value in the coming years.
Somewhat surprisingly, Altman also revealed in the interview the importance of voice products in OpenAI. He admits that the team hasn't developed a good enough voice product yet, and Altman says that when he first saw the voice model, he was most interested in the fact that the voice product opened up a new dimension of interaction in the touch interface, so he also believes that there are some amazing innovations that can come out of combining voice with the GUI.
