On May 15, OpenAI's official account posted a tweet on the X platform, announcing that it would begin yesterday (May 14) with a ChatGPT AI ChatbotMiddle. The GPT-4.1 model was introduced.

Pro, Plus and Team users can select the model immediately via the "More models" drop-down menu, while Enterprise and Edu users are expected to gain access in the coming weeks. In the meantime, GPT-4.1 mini replaces GPT-4o-mini and is available to all ChatGPT users.
1AI previously reported that GPT-4.1 excels in specific performance.OpenAI claims that the model is particularly good at handling programming tasks, following instructions precisely and avoiding unnecessarily lengthy output.
In real-world tests, GPT-4.1 is more efficiency-oriented than GPT-4o and less overly chatty, which makes it more reliable in professional scenarios. At the same time, its overall performance is on par with the latest version of GPT-4o, if not better in some aspects.
Compared to the old GPT-4o, GPT-4.1 brings more comprehensive improvements. This is reflected not only in the precision of task execution, but also in a more consistent output quality.
