
May 17OpenAI Codex, a software engineering intelligence agent, was released, followed by an online "Q&A" session on Reddit.
When asked about "theGPT-5 In response to the question "What can we do for users in the future?", Jerry Tworek, Vice President of Research at OpenAI, replied, "With GPT-5 as the next-generation base model, the team hopes that users will be able to minimize the need to switch between models".
