June 12 News.Meta Released a brand newShort video editingfeature, which is inspired by its Movie Gen AI technology.

According to 1AI, the editor is a powerful tool that allows users to easily change costumes, scenes, styles, and many other elements of a video, and the examples Meta has shown are so stunning that they seem to open the door to a world of fantasy for the user. Users can choose from more than 50 preset cues to transform the subject of the video into comic book art, a marble statue, a video game character, or even instantly "teleport" the character to a beach or a snowy landscape. In addition, the editor supports the addition of fantastic lighting effects and color overlays to further enrich the visual presentation of the video.
However, users can't enter custom prompts yet, but Meta says the feature will be available later this year.
The release of the AI Editoris the first commercialization of Meta's Movie Gen technology, which was originally unveiled last year as a non-public research tool that produced strikingly realistic results. Similar to the editor released here, Movie Gen technology not only edits non-AI videos, but also generates videos from scratch and even converts photos into videos. It's possible that these features will be phased into Meta's consumer products in the future as well.
The new editing tool is now available in the Meta AI app, on the Meta.AI website, and in the Edits app, and Meta platform lead Adam Mosseri says it will also be "phased in" to Instagram. Mosseri has previously previewed the feature. In his demo video, he shows the many amazing things the editor can do.
