OpenAI expects annual revenue from ChatGPT Enterprise customers to approach $15 billion by 2030.
Altman also spoke on the program about whether ChatGPT should include advertising. He said he was "not totally opposed" to the idea, and that such a shift could redefine the product's monetization model. He emphasized, however, that such a move would have to be made "with extreme caution. Users of social media and search engines are accustomed to advertising for cash, he noted, but compromising the AI's output because of the advertiser's status would seriously undermine user trust.
