June 24, 2012 - Reverse engineer Nima Owji tweeted on June 22 on the X platform. It's called Elon Musk's xA The company is working for Grok, develop an advanced document editor with table support.

TechCrunch, a tech media outlet, sees this move as a hint that xAI is taking steps to compete with giants like OpenAI, Google and Microsoft by integrating AI-assisted functionality throughout its productivity tools.
The outlet notes that OpenAI and Microsoft already have similar tools, most notably Gemini Workspace for Sheets, Docs, and Gmail, which allows for editing of documents and forms and supports users to talk to Gemini while viewing or editing documents.
It's not clear what types of files xAI's editor might support beyond forms, or whether xAI plans to build a full productivity suite to compete with Google Workspace and Microsoft Microsoft 365.
