From April through June, 93 new generative AI services were added to the NationalInternet Information Officecomplete the filing, and for generative AI applications or functions that directly invoke the capabilities of filed models through API interfaces or other means, the local net information office will carry out the registration of the74 additional sections were registered during the period.
As of June 30, 2025, a cumulative total of 439 generative AI services have completed filing and 233 generative AI applications or functions have completed registration. The relevant information is hereby announced.
Note: The Interim Measures for the Administration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services was released on July 10, 2023, and was considered and adopted by the National Internet Information Office (NIIO) in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and seven other departments.Effective August 15, 2023. The approach encourages the innovative application of generative artificial intelligence technology in various industries and fields, generates positive and healthy, upwardly mobile quality content, explores the optimization of application scenarios, and builds an application ecosystem.
Where laws and administrative regulations provide that the provision of generative artificial intelligence services shall obtain relevant administrative licenses, the provider shall obtain a license in accordance with the law. Foreign investment in generative artificial intelligence services shall comply with the provisions of laws and administrative regulations relating to foreign investment.
