July 16, 2012 - Technology outlet Windows Central published a blog post today (July 16) reporting thatAmazonUnderestimated the online web version Alexa of the workload. It was therefore decided to postpone the launch of the service until after July 31st.

1AI previously reported that Amazon is planning to launch a web-based version of its Alexa virtual assistant, Alexa.com, in mid-June this year at an event in February.
The newly disclosed documents show that Amazon.com is actively pushing to get the service off the ground internally, but from the details that have come to light so far, the company underestimated the amount of work required for a successful rollout, and as a result, company executives have announced that the service will go live "no earlier than July 31st."
In an interview with The Washington Post, Amazon spokesperson Lauren Raemhild said that users love the conversational experience of Alexa + and the ability to handle more complex tasks.
