Unlike browsers for human users, Kitesurf does not focus on visual functions such as themes, tabs and extensions, but is designed around context windows, performances, token costs and scalability, and needs to address security threats different from human browsers, such as alert injections。
The developer can use it to build the smart body that can navigate the website, fill out the forms and complete the browser task without having to develop the browser itself. Claudflare states that the CPU and memory consumption of Kitesurf on common intelligent body tasks such as amplification, HTML extraction and so forth is significantly lower than Chromium; its kernel is made up of components such as the Modular Rendering Engines Blitz, Firefox CSS resolver, Stylo and Rust, and is currently tested through approximately 215,000 Web platforms。
Kitesurf is currently provided free of charge in the form of Beta in Browner Run. Cloudflare indicates that it took only about 12 weeks from the decision to launch, and that the first concept validation was to transplant the open-source Rust headless browser engine Obscura to Workers。
