Apple is considering using artificial intelligence (AI) technology from Anthropic or OpenAI to power a new version of Siri, according to the Financial News Service. The move could mark a major pivot in Apple's AI strategy, implying that the company may be abandoning its current reliance on in-house developed big models. Buoyed by the news, Apple jumped more than 31 TP3T at one point on Monday and closed up 21 TP3T. people familiar with the matter said Apple has approached the two companies about deploying their large language models (LLMs) on Apple's own cloud infrastructure for testing. At present, most of Siri's AI functions still rely on Apple's self-developed "Apple Foundation Models". It is reported that Apple originally planned to launch a new version of Siri based on this model in 2026. It should be noted that although Siri can currently answer some web search queries with the help of ChatGPT, its core is still driven by Apple's own technology.
