OpenAI CEO Sam Altman no longer owns or controls venture capital funds associated with the company, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), reports axios.

OpenAI's venture capital fund is primarily raised by Sam Altman from outside limited partners, who also lead investment decisions. The fund launches in late 2021 to invest in other AI startups and projects.

Control of the venture capital fund has been handed over to Ian Hathaway, who has helped manage the fund since its inception in 2021.
