The post claimed that ChatGPT had been linked to nine deaths since its publication in 2022. OpenAI CEO Sam Ottman then responded, stressing that OpenAI faced a difficult balance between protecting vulnerable users and ensuring product availability. He said, "We need to protect vulnerable users while ensuring that all users can benefit from the tools."
