On March 20, Wired reported that Nvidia has acquired San Diego-based startup Gretel, which develops a platform for generating synthetic AI training data. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, but the purchase price is reportedly in the nine-figure range, which is more than Gretel's recent valuation of $320 million (note that the current exchange rate is about 2.314 billion yuan).
