On October 18th, Xinhua reported that yesterday, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, at the World Bank and IMF Annual Meeting in 2025 in Washington, stated that artificial intelligence (AI) was generating “unbelievable optimism” and was expected to contribute to global economic growth from 0.1% to 0.8%.
