On October 13, according to the Korean media, The Korea Herald, AMI Labs founder and chairman of Yann LeCun stated in Seoul on Monday that AI’s next breakthrough would not come from a large-language model but from a system that understands and predicts the physical world. He believes that the World Model will drive AI into the next phase. Yang Liqun stressed that there are limitations in understanding the real world in the larger language model developed for everyday life. He explained that, "We're not doing nothing right now..

On December 21, a well-known artificial intelligence scientist, Yann LeCun, confirmed on Thursday that he had set up a new start-up enterprise (an open secret in the scientific community). He indicated, however, that he would not be the chief executive officer of the new company. The original company, Advanced Machine Intelligence, has hired the co-founder and CEO of the artificial intelligent star Nabla..

News from November 20, just now, Yann LeCu (Yan Liqun), the Turing Prize winner and Meta's leading artificial intelligence scientist, wrote in Threads, officially stating that he would leave Meta and start a business. In his exit statement, Yang Liqun stated that he was in the process of creating a start-up company and was continuing the "AMI" project that he had been carrying out in the past few years at FAIR, New York University and elsewhere. According to his presentation, the company's goal is the next AI change -- creating a world that understands physics, has lasting memory, can..

According to the Financial Times, Yann LeCu (Yan Liqun), the Turing Prize winner and Meta's leading artificial intelligence scientist, will leave Meta in the coming months and will prepare for the creation of a new AI start-up enterprise. According to sources, Yang Liqun has begun early negotiations with potential investors. It has been reported that Yang Liqun will create a company that focuses on the World Model (World Model: AI system develops internal understanding of the environment by learning video and spatial data, rather than relying entirely on text). According to the news, Yang Li-kun joined Face in 2013..

Yann LeCun, Turing Award winner and Meta's chief AI scientist, was a guest on the "Big Technology Podcast", which aired on the 20th, and talked about why current generative AI is difficult to make scientific discoveries and how AI will develop in the future. He said that existing AI technologies, such as big language models, are essentially based on text training and generate answers through statistical laws, and cannot "create new things", so there are limitations. Human beings are able to use common sense and mental models to think and solve new problems, and this...

Meta Chief Scientist and Turing Award winner Yann LeCun (note: Yann LeCun, French) talked about his views on general artificial intelligence on the 29th "Into the Impossible" podcast. He said that the negative effects of AI are currently overblown and that its capabilities are still very limited. "In the most optimistic scenario, the realization of AGI is at least 5-6 years away." At present, society is generally worried about AI, and there is even a lack of views about the "possible doom" of AI, which Yang Likun believes has overlooked the fact that AI is ...
